Chief Election Commissioner’s meeting with various political parties during Maharashtra tour is anti-democratic…

For the last several years the Chief Election Commission (with the sole exception of Hon’ble T.N. Seshan) despite being an independent entity seems to be enslaved by the ruling political parties…….!

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, the constitutionalist, has created the Independent Election Commission as an independent judiciary from Article No. 324 to 329. So that the constitutional and moral responsibility of preserving democracy and deepening it, inventing it is the main responsibility of the main election commission. However, the same Chief Election Commission has done the job of fulfilling the constitutional and moral duty by mortgaging the discretion of its own members.

Former Chief Election Commissioner T. N. Seshan was the turning point of all political parties during his tenure. Former Prime Minister P. V. During Narasimha Rao’s tenure, when the term of the Lok Sabha was over, it was time to hold elections. Then the honorable T. N. Seshan suggested (not request) to the Prime Minister that, ‘Print the photograph of the voter on the voting card.’ The then Prime Minister said that now the time is insufficient, besides the cost is going to be high, then it is not possible now. TN Seshan said, ‘Until the voter’s photo appears on the voting card, the Lok Sabha elections will not be held…..!

Reluctantly, the central government had to bow to the constitutional authority of the Chief Election Commission and the Lok Sabha elections were held only when the voter’s photo appeared on the ballot card…!

This is the power of the constitution Hon’ble T. N. Seshan had shown all the political parties of the time.

When Pranab Mukherjee was sworn in as a Minister in the Union Cabinet of Narasimha Rao Government. However, he was not a member of Lok Sabha or Rajya Sabha. So they were bound to become members of any house within six months. Therefore the then Prime Minister Hon. P. V. Narasimha Rao Government T. N. Seshan was instructed to take the Rajya Sabha seat election from West Bengal. Then Hon. T. N. Seshan took a clear stand that the Chief Election Commission is not a slave of the Central Government by constitutional authority. It is independent like the judiciary, like the Comptroller General of India. Until this is highlighted by the Supreme Court. There will be no election for one seat of Rajya Sabha members of Bengal. In that six months tenure ended and Pranab Mukherjee had to resign from the post of Union Minister……!

Then the then W. Bengal Chief Minister Jyoti Basu was ridiculed as a mad dog.

Honorable T. who stands firm like a rock for democracy and by taking the side of the common people through constitutional rights. N. There was a balance. It is said that during his tenure all political parties were afraid of only two, one Uparwaleko and T. N. Seshanko……!

This was the power of the Constitution which Hon’ble T. N. Seshan had just shown the country constitutional and moral duty…….!

And today Chief Election Commissioner Rajeev Kumar visits Maharashtra to predict Assembly elections in Maharashtra……..

In it, he holds meetings with various political parties for discussion.

      Shame……

      Shame…..

      Shame…!
