Police are keeping a close eye on the whole case…
Thanedar Police Inspector Mahendra Wagh, who is overseeing the work of Kurkheda Police Station, told this correspondent that the police is aware that this issue was raised in the Gram Sabha today.
Keeping in mind the sensitive situation in the village, two police personnel of the department were deployed in the Gram Sabha. When the entire Gram Sabha and people of the Gram Sabha came to the houses of the people accused of selling illegal liquor in the village, the police were ready to face any adverse situation.
But the entire gram sabha process was conducted peacefully. Like Chikhali village, other gram sabhas in the taluka also need to come forward and take the initiative to ban illegal liquor. The police is standing by the villages and gram sabhas in every way.
