Advocate Gunaratna Sadavan has been reprimanded by the Cooperative Commissioner and Sadavarte’s close associate Saurabh Patil has been dismissed from the post of Managing Director of ST Cooperative Bank. The cooperative commissioner has said in the order that this action has been taken as Pasta does not fit any criteria. The bank is managed by a panel headed by Sadavarte.
As per rules, approval of Rise Bank of India is required for appointment of any person to the post of Managing Director.
Ministry of Cooperatives had already expressed strong displeasure regarding such permission while appointing Patil. Bata believes in direct action.
