Gadchiroli :– The death of two women after cesarean delivery at the city’s women and children’s hospital has created a stir. The preliminary estimate of the medical authorities is that both of them died due to infection, and the relatives of the deceased have alleged that both of them lost their lives due to failure in treatment.
The names of the dead women are Rajni Prakash Shedmake (23) resident of Bhansi, t.Savali, district Chandrapur and Ujjwala Naresh Bure (22), resident of Murkhala Chak, t.Chamorshi (currently residing in Indiranagar, Gadchiroli).
Both of them were admitted to Women and Children Hospital on September 24 for delivery. After the examination, both were delivered by surgery the next day. However, Rajni Shedmake developed fever, asthma and respiratory problems, while Ujjwala Bure developed fever and diarrhoea. Both were shifted to District and General Hospital on September 27 due to deteriorating health. But in the evening, Rajli Shedmake died during treatment, while Ujjwala Bure was advised to shift to Nagpur.
Meanwhile, while being taken to Nagpur, Ujjwala Bure also died near Armory around 11 pm. Both babies are healthy. But both have become children without a mother. The relatives of the deceased have alleged that both the women lost their lives due to the negligence of the doctors.
