Mumbai :- The resolution to confer ‘Bharat Ratna’ on Mahatma Jyotiba Phule and Krantijyoti Savitribai was unanimously passed by the Assembly on Monday.

            Protocol Minister Jayakumar Rawal had moved a resolution in the Assembly to recommend to the Central Government that Krantijyoti Mahatma Jyotiba Phule and Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule be posthumously awarded the Bharat Ratna.

           Chhagan Bhujbal supported this resolution. After this, the resolution was passed by one vote in the Assembly.

           The budget session of the Maharashtra Assembly is underway. There are heated arguments going on in the House between the ruling and opposition parties on various issues.

            The above important resolution has been unanimously approved. This resolution is historic and adds to the reputation of advanced, progressive, reformist Maharashtra and also enhances the glory of the Bharat Ratna award, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has expressed his happiness in these words.

          Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has also thanked all the members of the legislature who cooperated in the unanimous approval of this resolution, which respects the public sentiment of the entire country.
