Minor minerals, whether in government land or private land, cannot be mined without prior permission from the Tehsildar office.
However, Chimur taluka has become an exception to this matter. Anyone comes and from anywhere is mining minor minerals like sand and mud and disposing of them, that is, many people are doing illegal trade in Chimur taluka everywhere.
The director of MKS Company is doing the best. In the name of development work, it has come forward that they have done rampant illegal mining of pimples in Akhya Chimur taluka, by trampling on secondary minerals.
As in some Chimur talukas, it seems shocking that they consider minor minerals to be their own proprietary property.
Another serious case has come forward that the contractors of MKS Company have illegally mined thousands of brass urums from the farm of Mr. Vitthal Shego Jivtode at Mauja Pardpar under Jambhulghat Talathi Sazar.
In relation to road strengthening, a copy of the budget plan is prepared by the concerned office and according to this copy of the budget plan, necessary funds are sanctioned from the government-administrative level for the said work. This includes the cost of all materials along with all other expenses.
While this is the case, why do the directors of MKS company and the road contractors illegally excavate at places and use the stolen dirt for road strengthening work? This raises a serious question.
And when such a large amount of stolen material is being used for road strengthening work in Chimur Taluka, Talathi, Mandal Officer, Gram Sevak, Sarpanch, Upsarpanch, Gram Panchayat Member, Naib Tehsildar, Tehsildar, Sub-Divisional Officer and all other concerned in Chimur Taluka do not know what to say?
“A blind man steals flour and a dog eats flour, is this the state of Chimur taluk officials? And if so, who did it? If so, then the names of those big thieves and big heads must come forward.
Because these thieves and Shirjors get wealth from the secondary minerals in Chimur taluka and act under the pretense that all the government and administrative systems are under their control. This is the reality that officers and employees are getting down from the minds of the citizens.
Since the officers and employees of Chimur taluka are consciously ignoring the illegal mining, Chandrapur Collector Vinay Gowda has called on the citizens of Chimur taluka to form a special team to control the illegal secondary mineral mining in Chimur taluka.
