Mineral resources are the property of the people. Therefore, it is the moral responsibility of the people’s representatives and the concerned officials to protect all types of mineral resources.
But, if the people’s representatives and officials are allowing the rampant looting of mineral resources, then it cannot be said that they are efficient and sensitive in their duties.
That is why when will MLA Kirtikumar Bhangadia pay attention to illegal sand mining in Chimur taluka? This has caught the attention of voters and citizens.
It cannot be said that sand worth crores of rupees has been and is being transported to neighboring districts every day with the blessings of local officials, but it is no secret that the negligence of public representatives is also contributing to illegal sand smuggling.
While a large amount of sand from Chimur taluka is being transported daily by unlicensed highways and trucks, there is no way to know what duty the local MLA, sub-divisional officer, tehsildar, naib tehsildar, mandal officer, talathi, kotwal, officers and employees of the mining department, and the Bharari team are busy with.
Are there any officers, employees and public representatives who are allowing the mineral resources under Chimur taluka to be looted? This question has become a topic of public debate.
The public is also of the opinion that the Chandrapur District Magistrate should pay attention to the illegal sand mining in Chimur taluka and that he should form a reserve team to keep an eye on illegal sand mining at all times.
It is a fact that if the Chandrapur District Collector shows courage and pays attention to the illegal sand mining in Chimur taluka, the pots of local officials and employees will not remain empty.
Similarly, why does Chandrapur District Collector Vinay Gowda not take disciplinary action against all the concerned officials and employees who ignore illegal sand mining on the pretext of dereliction of duty? This question has arisen for the citizens of Chimur taluka.
If the District Collector has a role to play in curbing corruption, then he should pay attention to the illegal sand mining in Chimur without wasting time.
A new discussion has recently started in Chimur taluka that a senior official in Chimur taluka catches a vehicle loaded with sand and takes 50 thousand rupees after setting it up and releases the said vehicle loaded with sand.
Although such public discussions seem unbelievable, it cannot be denied that illegal sand transporters bow down to the many legal threats of the officials.
However, who is the officer who took Rs 50,000 in cash in exchange for leaving a vehicle full of sand? Will the injustice-stricken citizens of Chimur taluka come forward to bring this to the fore? This issue is also more important.
But, when will MLA Bantibhau alias Kirtikumar Bhangadiya, who calls himself efficient and dutiful, pay attention to illegal sand mining? This is a burning and sensitive question for them…
