           Chimur Both Keshav Srirame of Neri in the taluka and Dnyaneshwar Barte of Chimur were traveling on a motorbike on the Bothli to Shirpur route.

         There is a bridge on the road from Bothli to Shirpur. When the flood water of the river was flowing over this bridge, the motorcycle decided to cross the river through the bridge.

        Police Patil Bansod informed Chimur police inspector Santosh Bakal on the night of July 20 that they were carried away by the flood waters and were hanging from a tree.

          As soon as the police inspector Bakal came to know about the incident, he delayed even a moment and reached the spot with police constable Vilas Nimgade, police constable Sachin Khamankar, Shailesh Madavi, Shiv Shankar Landkar and other personnel.

        Meanwhile, one was 100 meters away from the bridge and the other was 200 meters away. As it was night time, there was difficulty in the rescue work, with the help of swimmers Subhash Dahare from Shirpur and Balu Zode from Adegaon, the police finally succeeded in pulling both of them out safely from the flood water.

           Chimur Thanedar Santosh Bakal along with the conscientious work of fellow police is being appreciated by the public.
