When today is the day to exercise the right to vote under the assembly election, a person from outside the village comes to Mauja Kotgaon in Chimur taluka and takes the voter list and asks the voters to give rupees and vote for BJP.
When local gram panchayat member and journalist Upaksham Ramteke and former sarpanch Charan Das went to Vagh to stop him from handing out rupees and vote for BJP as per the rules in the closed door room, the same person is seen in the video shouting and saying that I am from Warora.
How appropriate is it that after the local office-bearers of the BJP inform their superiors, the defense force soldiers come to Mauja Kotgaon and try to pick up Upaksham Ramteke, a local gram panchayat member and journalist who is saving democracy, from his house without thinking or knowing the truth of the matter?
Who is that gentleman who made those soldiers to do illegal activities? The Chimur Assembly Election Decision Officer should conduct a thorough investigation.
Who is protecting those people who are paying Rs.
The 2013 decision of the Supreme Court states that elections should be conducted in a fair, transparent, independent and open credible environment.
As what happened today in Mauja Kotgaon is a hindrance to the concept of scheduled and democracy, the police must search for that person and put him in chains.
Chimur election officials should also understand the serious development in Mauja Kotgaon and bring the concerned person under the legal framework.
