Against the state government’s decision to adopt 65,000 primary schools to industrialists and to close down 14,800 low-grade schools and to implement old pensions for all state government employees, including teachers, on Sunday, February 25, 2024 in Mumbai, “Save Schools-Save Education” – To protest against the government policy to save teachers, education, pension, reservation under the campaign, “State Level Education-Pension-Reservation Rights Action Committee Maharashtra” has organized a state level convention.
Former Union Minister of Agriculture and former Chief Minister Sharad Chandraji Pawar (NCP President) will inaugurate this grand gathering and the gathering will be presided over by Vaman Meshram, National President of BAMSEF.
All the teachers and legislators of Maharashtra will be present in this gathering. Meetings were held on behalf of the district level Education-Pension-Reservation Rights Action Committee for the preparation of this grand gathering in all the districts of Maharashtra including Amhadnagar district. All those present expressed the belief that thousands of teachers from all over the district will go for the gathering.
During Ahmednagar district meeting Shri.Ramesh Makasare (State General Secretary Protan Association), Shri. Eknath Vayavaye (District President Bahujan Mandal), Mr. Praveen Dada Thube (Maharashtra State Primary Teachers Association Sambhajirao Thorat Group), Mr. Prakash Nangre (Maharashtra State Primary Teachers Association Shivajirao Patil Group), Mr. Nanasaheb Gadhave (District President Old Pension Rights Association Ahmednagar ), Mr. Nanasaheb Badakh (Chairman Teacher Bank), Mr. Tausif Syed (Urdu Teachers Association Ahmednagar), Mr. Akolkar of Secondary Teachers Association, Mr. Ramesh Pagare, Dr. Bhaskar Rannaware of BAMSEF, Sachin Dhage, Santosh Rokade, Babasaheb Thorat, Eng.Sanjay Shinde etc. activists were present.
