Amravati:- In order that the children in Anganwadi get a pleasant education, to reduce the fear of English subjects in the minds of children, also to develop interest in English subject from childhood and to fulfill the expectations of the parents in view of the increasing trend towards English education, now English lessons will be given to children from the Anganwadi center.
It was inaugurated today by Collector Saurabh Katiyar at Anganwadi center in Shirala.
English education has become the need of the hour. English is becoming the language of daily conversation. In-depth information on various subjects is mostly available in English language. As English is the language of communication, business and international, the children of this generation should not fall short in English subject or their knowledge about English subject. District Collector Saurabh Katiyar asserted that the initiative of Women and Child Development Department of Amravati Zilla Parishad to teach English in Anganwadi from this year is very commendable, keeping in mind that there should be no fear.
In a month, two poems, some familiar words, some action words, three alphabets and two numbers have been prepared for Anganwadi sevaks.
For this purpose, all the supervisors and Anganwadi workers have been trained from the district level. Therefore, the Anganwadi center will be closely monitored from the district level to implement this course effectively.
At the end of every month, other Anganwadi centers will be evaluated by supervisors and the effectiveness of this course will be verified, Deputy Chief Executive Officer Dr. Kailas Ghodke said.
While inaugurating this activity, Sub Divisional Officer Anil Bhatkar Deputy Chief Executive Officer Dr. Kailas Ghodke, Tehsildar, Child Development Project Officer Vilas Durge, Supervisor Aarti Chikte and Anganwadi Sevaka from Shirala were present along with the children.
Mr. Katiyar expressed the belief that “children develop 90 percent by the age of six. Therefore, a child can learn any language easily. The children of Anganwadi center will also learn English language easily and new words will be known to them. This will definitely show positive results.”
