        Chief Election Commissioner Rajeev Kumar held a press conference and announced the Maharashtra state assembly election program.

       Voting will be held simultaneously in 288 assembly constituencies in Maharashtra state and the date for filing nominations is 29 October, voting will be held on 20 November and counting of votes will be held on 23 November.

        There are 1 lakh 186 polling stations under the state of Maharashtra and there are 9 crore 63 lakh voters in the state.

      The term of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly ends on November 26.
