False faith, but the lives of poor, unorganized laborers are lost?..

News Analysis..

Prof. Mahesh Panse..

Suresh Shivankar, a laborer at a fly ash brick kiln in Maregaon in Mool taluka, was crushed to death by a Haiva car full of ashes.

The police court will register the incident as an accident, and the plant owner will pay 5/10 thousand to the families of these poor laborers and settle the case.

However, with this incident, the businessmen’s greed and deceit to make the labor laws as easy as possible has come forward once again. And this lie is further confirmed by the officers of the concerned department who implement “pocket culture”.

This fraudulent business is not limited only to the said tragic incident in Malegaon. Considering how safe the chapter of labor safety has been in the small and big industries of the district, how much the labor welfare law is being implemented, it is justified to expect the families of poor laborers to seek justice by registering crimes of murder against such entrepreneurs or institutions.

According to an eyewitness in yesterday’s incident at Maregaon, the said laborer died on the spot. It is also being discussed that the laborer was pretended to be taken to the government hospital to hide the seriousness of the incident. This matter becomes irritating.

Sameer Tangdapalliwar, a brick kiln driver and small businessmen sitting in the same area (Mool MIDC) has raised a question mark on the extent to which the Labor Welfare Act is implemented.

On this occasion, it has once again come to light that how serious the businessmen are regarding the safety of the workers, in fact, how honestly the officials of the Labor Commissioner’s office monitor the situation.

The entire Maregaon knows that Mritak Manzoor was hard of hearing. How old was he? In such a situation, how legal is it for the owner or supervisor of the said plant to lower the loaded car.

No safety equipment seems to have been provided to the said laborer. Is there anyone behind the driver while taking back the loaded car? It should be seen that perhaps the driver of the said Hiwa is not a licensed driver.

According to the information given by the villagers, the elder brother of the deceased laborer was found to have been abused and assaulted by the plant’s Superwarar Sandeep in the morning. Will the mentality of the said dead laborers really be good while working for the one who beat the elder brother in the morning? Many such questions arise.

Paperwork Officials of Labor Welfare Department show that all matters on paper are correct. Demonstrates proper observation. They are temporary and unorganized in rural areas. No record of these laborers is kept by the developers. Laborers have no job security. After such an unfortunate incident, these laborers do not get any compensation. This appears to be the truth.

Many laborers like Suresh Shivankar have died or are permanently disabled in the soil and sand industry. Laws were broken by zealots and workers lost their lives. Where are trade unions at such times? This question is also asked.

In the incident at Maregaon, what if the unorganized laborers demand that a case of culpable homicide be registered against the brick kiln drivers?
