Farmers have informed that many farmers have been damaged by smoke in the agricultural fields of Palasgad, which is 9 km from the Kurkheda taluka headquarters.
Around 20 to 25 wild elephants entered the farm of farmer Kaliramji Darro at night and damaged the paddy crops of farmers Kaliram Darro, Rabindra Kodap, Dakram Kasare.
Elephants have also damaged the vertical tractor kept in the field. At this time, forest area officer MD Kumbhalkar, area assistant KK Kashiwar, chowkidar Madhukar Darwade have inspected the incident site and made a panchnama.
Since the last two years, the herd of elephants have been destroying paddy and other materials collectively, creating an atmosphere of fear among the citizens and farmers.
