Following the events of November 3, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Rakesh Jadhav and Bhisi Police Thanedar Chande pressured Shankar Premkumar Ramteke, who had gone to file a complaint, and threatened to ruin his future, and sent him back to his village. When the truth came to light, how right is the Bhisi Thanedar to say that the complainants did not file a complaint in order to save themselves, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Rakesh Jadhav and the accused?..

If the police themselves start fooling the citizens under the pressure of the ruling party, then the security of the citizens will be compromised. Who will do it? It is no problem to say that this question has now come to the fore..

As soon as it was realized that the Boddha case in Chimur taluka of Chandrapur district was being reversed, the Thanedar of Bhisi Police Station was making a fuss that the complainants had not filed a complaint in a serious case there, which meant fooling the citizens of Maharashtra state and doing injustice and torture to the complainant, that is what the citizens understood!.. This is what is evident from the said case.

Shankar Premkumar Ramteke from Boddha had come to file a complaint. However, no one gave a verbal or written complaint, so no case was registered. It was recorded in the station diary that he had returned without filing a complaint,” the representatives of Punyanagari were informed. The said communication of the police department has been published in the Thursday issue of Punyanagari dated 7/11/2024, on the “City Plus” page.

The manner in which the police department is going around to suppress such a serious case of casteist abuse and assault in Boddha during the implementation of the assembly election model code of conduct, and what kind of discipline of the police this going around is violating, should be brought to the fore.

Senior police officers like the Director General of Police of Maharashtra State, Police Commissioner Nagpur Division Nagpur (Rural), District Superintendent of Police Chandrapur, should take cognizance of the matter and come forward to know the reality of the matter and should conduct a thorough investigation into the Boddha case and file criminal cases against the irresponsible police officers and dismiss them from the service. Such is the public opinion.

Similarly, will senior police officers take precautions to ensure that dishonesty does not become entrenched among police officers in an attempt to save the accused? And will they remember the oath of impartial duty taken when joining the job? Serious questions have begun to arise in this regard.

The Director General of Police of Maharashtra State should personally look into the Mauja Boddha case and bring to light the injustice and atrocities being committed by the local police department against the Scheduled Caste complainant through a special investigation team. There is a similar serious incident in Boddha.

Along with this, it is better for the complainant Shankar Premkumar Ramteke to wait cautiously until the assembly elections and the new government is formed!

However, it is also true that he should not remain careless in enduring atrocities and injustice…
